Do you have a bare wall in your home that is in desperate need of some decoration, but you’re currently lacking inspiration (and budget)? I did. It was a space that I’d been umming and aahing over for almost a year.
It’s Christmas and I’m sitting at my desk eating Valentine’s Day chocolate hearts from a press release that was sent in this morning!
Friday was a busy day. From professional to party - all in one day. I was up with the Kookaburras and on my way out to the Good Food Affare at Castle Hill Showground.
I’ve just finished shooting an Art & Framing story. My taste and penchant for perfection outweighs my handyman talents and I have a whole new appreciation for the ‘art’ of well aligned, perfectly hung pieces.
There’s not too much to write home about this week but I can’t overlook the fact that we’ve finally moved back into our old office …
Its our busiest time of year... trying to do the December issue while at the same time squeezing a Christmas issue in there too - not to mention trying to get 2009 underway as well.
It all went off without a hitch.... or as close to that as humanly possible. I'm am at home working on my copy and replaying the last two days in my head.

Doh a deer... these are a few of my favourite things.... well, just one at the moment actually.
So, it’s a week from my shoot – six sleeps actually, or four working days, and I haven’t been able to find a suitable bed head for the ‘bright’ page of my bed linen shoot.
You’ve got to love internet shopping! I recently made a fabulous purchase and am totally smitten with my new marble occasional table.
Note to self: Just because I own a sewing machine does not make me a gifted sewer.
Forget from “desk to dinner” or “casual to cocktails” … what about from packing boxes in the courier dock this morning to a fabulous Royal Doulton product launch and lunching at Rose Bay? How does one manage practicality and glamour all in one outfit?
I’ve had such a productive day – you know the type, when everything is falling into place and creativity is flowing. I shot “the list” this morning for our July issue.
Glamour! I cannot escape it. It all started becoming very evident recently starting at the DesignEX Champagne Breakfast our Style Team attended (juice please, too early for bubbles).
I am Vivien: resident stylist at H&G for almost three years now ... and at this very moment extending my skills as a green but enthusiastic blogger.
