Shopping on eBay

You’ve got to love internet shopping! I recently made a fabulous purchase and am totally smitten with my new marble occasional table.

For months beforehand I had been trawling shops and websites looking for something with colour and character, but nothing seemed to catch my eye. Until this little gem appeared on eBay.

It was a nerve-racking week of constant monitoring and hoping that not everyone in Sydney saw all the potential in it that I did – I was on edge for the whole seven days it was listed. I finally got the chance to swoop on Monday evening, and after outbidding my competitor I WON! Phew.

After a long drive to Doonside and back, I’ve been busy styling my little table and making it feel welcome in my lounge room. It is totally divine and might just make an appearance in H&G before too long… maybe the bed linen story I’m planning at the moment….. hmmm, now that’s a thought!

I’ve had my fill of online shopping for now (and to be honest I think my colleagues are glad to have heard the end of it), but our July issue will have more of our other favourite online shopping haunts, if you’re like me and enjoy shopping from the sofa on occasion.
